They mimic ants and their physical structure even resembles ants. Zodarion rubidium is another type of spider that exclusively preys on ants. Other spiders, such as the jumping spider, will also eat ants it they’re available. These species include black widows and lynx spiders. Color: They have a yellowish-brown body with a big, gray patch at the middle of their cephalothorax. ![]() The Daddy-Long Legs is NOT the same type of spider as the Cellar Spider.Daddy-Long Legs refers to two types of spiders:the harvestman (Which is not a spider,because it does not have venom or spin webs.This type is still an arachnid,though.),and the spider (Which is not a long-bodied cellar spider). Not all spiders eat ants, though there are a few species prefer them.
